Dou Bro'z teaches the father three subjects: himself, the mother of his child, and the baby on the way. The instructor is a trained postpartum doula and childbirth educator, based in Chandler.
Our goal is to arm the father with knowledge of self 101, awareness of mom 201, and preparedness for baby 301.
Each part of the mission is one course. They run in that order, because a father who knows himself listens better, and a father who understands her is ready to care for the baby.
Before he can support anyone, a father studies himself: the example he grew up with, the one he plans to set, and what he needs to have in place before the baby arrives.
What her body and mind go through in pregnancy, birth, and the weeks after, so he knows what to watch for, what to ask, and when to step in without being told.
The hands-on work of a newborn, practiced before the baby comes home instead of learned for the first time at 3 a.m.
Group sessions put expecting fathers in one room with the founder, so the questions a man keeps to himself in a hospital class finally get asked out loud.

I started Dou Bro’z in 2017 because fathers need support and preparation, too. I want to help dads understand themselves, be aware of what mom is going through, and feel ready for their baby.
